You can be a part of our efforts to preserve the Western Bluebird population in Southern California.
Ready to jump in? Great! We must warn you—the first time a pair of bluebirds takes up residence in your nest box you will be hooked. The only requirement to join is a commitment to the Western Bluebird and other cavity nesters, and a promise to monitor your nestbox(es) and report your annual counts to the California Bluebird Recovery Program (CBRP). We also encourage you to join the CBRP. We do not charge dues.
There is so much more if you want to be more active. We meet monthly for fellowship and to share our experiences, measure our progress, and create strategies. You will quickly discover that bluebirders are the nicest people.
You can also build your own nest boxes, help organize club activities, write articles for the newsletter and other local publications, help maintain this web site, and meet with community groups to tell our story.
For addional informtion contact any Area Contact or our monthly meetings are open to the general public and are held on the second Saturday of each month. See home page for the next meeting.
